The Story:

Throughout my career, I’ve conceptualized, planned, and executed a wide range of high-impact events, demonstrating expertise in managing both large-scale physical gatherings and complex international online programs. My focus is always on creating engaging experiences that meet strategic objectives, whether it’s fostering community, driving leads, or facilitating high-level networking.

 

In-Person Event Management

 

Through my career, I led the end-to-end planning and execution of major corporate events, a key example being the flagship annual gathering “Daquiprafrente” during my time at Daquiprafora.

 

  • Objective: This crucial event aimed to motivate and prepare ~600+ students (and their families) recently accepted to universities abroad. It addressed pre-departure anxiety, provided practical guidance from experienced alumni and parents, and fostered a supportive community network before students left Brazil.
  • My Responsibility: I managed all facets of this large-scale event, including:
    • Strategic Planning: Developing the event concept, agenda, and key messaging in line with company goals.
    • Logistics & Venue Management: Sourcing, negotiating, and managing the external venue suitable for 600+ attendees.
    • Budget Oversight: Managing the event budget effectively.
    • Program Development: Recruiting and coordinating speakers (CEO, alumni, parents, experts), managing presentation content, and structuring engaging sessions and workshops.
    • Marketing & Registration: Driving attendance through targeted marketing campaigns and managing the entire registration process.
    • On-Site Execution: Overseeing all on-site logistics, including AV setup, staffing, attendee experience, and troubleshooting.

 

Additionally, while at Agência RC Marketing, I supported the execution of multiple high-profile business dinners for APAS (São Paulo Supermarket Association). Each event hosted over 600 supermarket owners, managers, and CPG leaders, requiring meticulous coordination for high-level networking and relationship building.

Online Event Management

 

At Crimson Education, I routinely managed a high volume of online events, personally overseeing the execution of over 120+ webinars that formed a core part of the marketing strategy over six years. Building on this extensive webinar experience, in 2023 I was entrusted by the Executive Team to independently conceptualize, build, and execute two particularly complex, large-scale regional online summits for the EMEA and APAC regions – initiatives outside my core operational duties at the time.

 

Challenge: Create high-impact, revenue-generating virtual events targeting diverse audiences across numerous countries (11 in APAC; EU, Russia, UAE, KZ, South Africa in EMEA), requiring sophisticated segmentation and tracking.

 

My Comprehensive Role: I personally handled all aspects, demonstrating advanced event management skills:

 

  • Platform Strategy & Technical Setup: Selecting, configuring, and managing webinar/virtual event platforms and all backend logistics.
  • Advanced Automation & Personalization: Implementing a complex setup within Marketo, utilizing personalized country-specific subfolders inside the program. Each subfolder triggered unique, localized email sequences, automated workflows, and tailored lead scoring models, ensuring a relevant experience for attendees across diverse markets and adding significant complexity to the event management.
  • Content & Speaker Coordination: Developing agendas, sourcing expert speakers, managing presentations, and conducting tech checks.
  • Marketing Execution & Asset Creation: Designing and running promotional campaigns across multiple channels to drive registrations and attendance. This included personally handling the planning and creation of promotional advertising assets (both static images and videos). Notably, the visual identity, advertisements, and video assets developed for these summits were successfully repurposed for subsequent ‘Global Former Admissions Officers Tours,’ extending their value and reach.
  • Live Event Management: Overseeing live sessions, managing Q&A, and providing technical support.
  • Exceptional Results: These flagship summits were highly successful, generating:
    • 6,700+ New Leads
    • Over $1 Million in Attributed Revenue
    • An Average ROI of 1530% across the two regions in FY23 Q3/Q4.

Outcome & Learning:

My experience spans the full spectrum of event management, from detailed logistical planning for large in-person events like “Daquiprafrente” to the strategic design and technically sophisticated execution of high-ROI global online summits. I am adept at managing budgets, coordinating diverse stakeholders, developing engaging content, driving attendance, and meticulously managing logistics – including complex marketing automation setups for personalized attendee journeys across multiple countries. These experiences showcase my ability to leverage events, both physical and virtual, as powerful strategic tools for community building, lead generation, and significant revenue growth.
